We demand free education funded by expropriation

Manchester staff ballot for strike action

Staff at the University of Manchester will be balloted for strike action by the University and College Union (UCU) after bosses at the university disregarded employment procedure. Instead of waiting for the current review of redeployment procedure to be completed, the university issued 37 at risk of redundancy notices, leading the union to ballot for strike action. Big business buys Tories, students pay the bill

  Earlier this year an organisation called Select Property Group gave a massive £50,000 donation to the Conservative Party. One of this company’s main activities is building “luxury student developments” in places like Manchester, Liverpool, Exeter, Southampton and Bristol. Solidarity with Johannesburg students on strike against tuition fees

Students at Witswatersrand University, also known as Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa, have taken strike action in response to the announcement that tuition fees will be increased by 10.5%, accommodation costs by 9%, and upfront registration fees by 6%.
