The MSF Revolution series is an online meeting that discusses different revolutions every Thursday at 6pm. Our last meeting was on the Cuban Revolution – the video for it can be found here.

Yesterday, we held a meeting on the Haitian Revolution. Eoin Breathnach from Leeds Marxist Society led the discussion. After 12 years of upheavals, war, carnage and betrayals, the revolution which broke open in 1791 in Saint-Domingue finally succeeded in abolishing slavery and achieved independence in Haiti.
