UCL students demand: fund our mental health

A loud and passionate protest was held by students at UCL on Wednesday 6 December to demand increased funding for the university’s mental health service – the Student Psychological Services (SPS). Cleaners in Hackney schools ballot to strike back over pay

Cleaners who work in six different schools in Hackney, London have been refused holiday pay at the legal rate. These 42 school cleaners are already some of the lowest paid workers, and yet their employer has not only refused to pay proper holiday pay, but has also refused to discuss other pressing issues of pay and conditions with Unite, the cleaners’ union. Students and cleaners unite and fight at King’s College London

A Unison-led demonstration was held outside King’s College London on Friday 1 December as part of an on-going campaign to bring the university’s cleaning staff in-house. Swansea Marxists celebrate NUS delegate election victory
