Below, in both English and Spanish, is a statement sent to the Marxist Student Federation by our comrades in Mexico. Greetings such as this remind us of what we are fighting for, and that here in Britain we are lucky to be able to organise without overt threats of violence, kidnap and murder by the capitalist state, unlike in Mexico. The greatest contribution we can make to the world revolutionary struggle is to build the forces of Marxism wherever we are in the world. That means joining the Marxist Student Federation in Britain today! We are internationalists, and we stand for international socialist revolution. Workers of the world unite!

Greetings, comrades of the Marxist Student Federation.
The students organised in the Committee for the Struggle of Polytechnic Students – Revolutionary Student Union (CLEP-UER) send revolutionary greetings to the Marxist societies that make up the Marxist Student Federation.
In Mexico we can see that the situation facing us is one in which students and young people generally, together with the working class across the world, is under serious attack so that big business can push through reforms that will increase their profits at the cost of education cuts, unemployment etc.
Our struggle today faces ruthless repression by capitalist regimes which try to silence the most consistently revolutionary voices, such as yours and ours. We know that the day-to-day economic and political situation is not always on our side, but we must still continue to organise and prepare for the big battles ahead.
Clearly we are all fighting the same monstrous capitalist system. This system tries to rob us of all the reforms of the past, it pushes through privatisations and it attacks the gains that workers have made through years and years of struggle.
Comrades, you are not alone. Your struggle is our struggle. The bourgeoisie think they can attack young people without us fighting back. They are wrong.
Keep fighting comrades. The revolutionary ideas we are developing today will, in the future, guide the student and labour movement to victory. We will not surrender in the face of bourgeois attacks. We will show the world that the ruling class have picked a fight with the wrong generation.
United and organised – we will be victorious!

Saludos compañeros de la UNION DE ESTUDIANTES MARXISTAS.
Los estudiantes que nos organizamos en el Comité de Lucha Estudiantil Politécnico – Unión de Estudiantes Revolucionarios enviamos desde México un saludo revolucionario a la escuela de formación política para la juventud que se aglutina en la Unión de Estudiantes Marxistas.
En México estamos conscientes de la situación que atravesamos los estudiantes y en general la juventud que junto con la clase trabajadora mundial están siendo golpeados severamente por las reformas del gran capital, que intentan con estas aumentar sus ganancias a costa de la exclusión a la educación, desempleo, etc.
Vemos que nuestra lucha en la actualidad se ve enfrentada a la represión despiadada de los regímenes del capitalismo en turno que intentan acallar las voces más consecuentes como la de ustedes y la nuestra, hemos visto como día a día la situación económica y política no nos favorecen, ante esto nos queda seguir organizándonos y preparándonos para la gran batalla que se avecina.
Sin duda ustedes y nosotros nos enfrentamos al mismo monstruo llamado capitalismo, aquí y allá, el sistema intenta arrebatarnos todo, con reformas, privatizaciones y ataques a las conquistas que han ganado los trabajadores con años y años de lucha
Compañeros, ustedes no están solos, su lucha es nuestra lucha, si la burguesía cree que puede ir en contra de la juventud sin que esta responda, se equivocan.
Sigamos luchando compañeros, formemos a esos cuadros revolucionarios que en el futuro guiaran al movimiento estudiantil y obrero hacia la victoria, no se rindan y demostremos que en todo el mundo se han topado con la generación equivocada.
Unidos y organizados… ¡Venceremos!
